We are grateful to Delta Air Lines and its staff for all the help they rendered us. Delta Air Lines allowed ISMS equipment and luggage to be carried aboard their aircrafts free of charge. Kenya mission of 2011 was ISMS' 15th mission. The team was composed of 18 medical professionals that covered wide spectrum of specialties. The mission was conducted in NNPG hospital in the town of Kisumu, located on lake Victoria. The hospital serves a large area of the Western section of Kenya. We hope that the presence of ISMS team provided much needed exposure to the hospital and its staff to modern techniques in medicine and patients’ care. We also hope that our work will have an ever lasting effect. The team performed 98 major operations that included general, thoracic, obstetrical and reconstructive surgeries. The team also donated many equipment and supplies that should help the hospital and its staff in providing better care to their patients.
